New - North America's tallest wooden building

The new Wood Innovation and Design Centre (WIDC) in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, will be a 27 metre tall building of engineered wood made from local species, including; Douglas fir, spruce, hemlock, and western red cedar.

In addition to hosting the WIDC, the city-owned building will also house the University of Northern British Columbia's new masters of engineering program in tall wood design.
