Timber is a natural organic material with many uses as a building material. When used well timber provides not only the primary structural element in a building, but also the interior finish and feature bringing a sense of warmth, health and wellbeing into the building and to its occupants.

This seminar discusses the use of timber in nature connected design, the benefits of using wood in the built environment as the primary architectural and engineered structural element, and as a key feature and finish contributing to the health and wellbeing of the occupants, while at the same time benefiting the environment.

This seminar is a must for all building and design professionals specifying, approving and using timber in commercial, infrastructure and residential building applications, including architects and designers, engineers, building certifiers, local and state government authorities, developers, commercial and residential builders. CPD points available.
 
The seminar will include case studies on the design and construction of – 

  • Internaltional House by Lendlease, a seven storey office building recently completed in the Sydney CBD
  • John Septimus Roe Anglican School, current and upcoming stages.
