Weathertex achieves GreenTagCERT™ Platinum environmental ratings

Announcing that Weathertex had just become the first Australian and only global  manufactured product  to receive a Global GreenTagCERT™ Platinum certification with a GreenRate R Level A for their natural range products, national marketing manager Vanda Correia said “we work hard to improve the sustainability of Australian building products and practices, our Global GreenTagCERT™ Platinum rating is a great result for our efforts – but really it’s another step forward in our journey to offer our clients the most environmentally advantageous products.”

Vanda went on to explain that Weathertex primed flat cladding (Classic and Selflok profiles) and architectural wall panels also received Gold certification from Global GreenTagCERT™. This complements the recognition by the Green Building Council of Australia’s GreenStar program, which awards Weathertex maximum rating points for wall cladding and panels.

Weathertex is a manufacturer of natural Australian hardwood weatherboards and architectural panels.  100% Australian owned and manufactured, Weathertex only uses certified state forest or private hardwoods from controlled sources.

A third party, multi-criteria, consensus based and externally verified Type 1 ecolabelling program Global GreenTagCERT™ Ecospecifier Global is one of the world’s largest product sustainability certification systems. Global GreenTagCERT™ is the only Certification Mark in the sector approved by the Australia Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the US Patents and Trademarks Office and green building rating tools, worldwide.
