Applications are still open for Semester 1 entry into the Centre for Sustainable Architecture with Wood's Graduate Certificate in Timber (Processing & Building), but only for a short time.
This flexibly-structured online course is specifically tailored for building design professions and those working with them, including architects, engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects.
It provides specialist study for those involved or interested in the design, construction, maintenance and management of timber-rich buildings and structures, or the production and distribution of timber and wood products.
It focuses strongly on the requirements of sustainable construction and production practice, especially practice relevant to Australasian conditions.
This is a Commonwealth-supported course. Fees for domestic students studying in 2012 are approximately $1,000 per unit. Fees for international students are higher. A domestic student is a student who is an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen or the holder of a permanent Visa.
If you are interested you need to apply as soon as you can. The preferred means of applying to the University of Tasmania for domestic students is via the Apply-by-web facility at: www.futurestudents.utas.edu.au/index.asp.
Semester one commences on Monday 27 February.
Forest and Wood Products Australia provided support in developing this course.
