With a concrete pad and a variety of engineered timber, the Wood Innovation Design Centre (WIDC) is an example of innovation in action.
It features:
- more than 1,700 cubic metres of wood
- glulam columns and beams
- laminated strand lumber (LSL) and parallel strand lumber (PSL) transfer beams
- cross-laminated timber (CLT) floor assemblies and core vertical panels
- laminated veneer lumber (LVL) feature stairs and canopy
