Congratulations are in order for Hector Abrahams Architects. The practice took home the Best Adaptive Reuse award, sponsored by WoodSolutions, at the 16th annual Architecture & Design Sustainability Awards.
Sue Hutton’s Stephenson’s Mill is a beloved landmark in the Crookwell community and was exquisitely reimagined and redesigned. With design centred around sustainability concepts, Hector Abrahams Architects focused on embodied energy and sealing the envelope via low tech energy systems to address the harsh local climate and preserve the historic building sustainably.
The awards took place in Sydney following an information and innovation packed Sustainability Summit where Paolo Lavisci, WoodSolutions Advisor and Program Manager of Resilient Timber Homes, joined the panel on an exciting session - A complete solution: Investigating the Product Life Cycle.
