Restoring a wooden Mount Macedon chalet
One of the last, relatively intact heritage houses on Mount Macedon is about to be revitalised by a couple passionate about saving historic buildings.
Italian-born architect Louis Boldini spent some years in New Zealand, where he designed a number of notable buildings in Dunedin between 1880 and 1888. He migrated to Melbourne in 1888 and designed Karori, Mount Macedon a timber house for New Zealand broker, CW Chapman.
