Timber cladding and lining are key elements in Australian architects’ design repertoire. With careful selection and colouring, timber board or sheet linings on walls and ceilings can establish feelings of playfulness, luxury and opulence, or connections with the environment and the landscape. They are versatile yet robust solutions.
Timber cladding offers similar versatility realising architectural concepts in different scales of building and in different contexts. Deployed with skill and understanding, they can enhance the appearance of multistorey buildings in the middle of our busy cities or small and intimate dwellings nestled in remote country sides.
This seminar will cover recent trends in cladding and lining design and key facets of detailing cladding for durability and fire resistance.
This seminar is a must for building and design professionals including architects, engineers, building designers, builders, and educators.
