This seminar provides an update on the introduction of new state planning regulations and state mapping, and using Timber in Bushfire Prone Areas.
So many communities and home owners in regional and metropolitan WA have, and currently are, threatened by the effects of bushfires. The loss of homes from bushfires is devastating for families and communities. A number of different strategies to mitigate risk have been developed, and are implemented by Emergency services, land managers and building regulators.
As part of the building regulation strategies, AS3959 provides guidance for designers and builders on design, appropriate materials and detailing to resist the effects of a fully developed bushfire.
