‘Keep Your Roof On’
Closing the gap between current roof construction practice and building a code compliant roof.
On every set of builder's house plans is a statement like ‘all timberwork to be in accordance with AS1684 Residential timber frame construction code, and National Construction Code’.
House roofs are primarily designed to resist high wind forces, which all to frequently enact destruction on our built environment. Yet rarely does a roof comply with the construction and tie-down requirements of AS1684 and the NCC.
This seminar will examine code compliant roof frame construction, and the effects of high-wind forces on residential building roof frames.
