New to the Australian marketplace, Low to Mid-rise lightweight timber-framed building is one of the most economical way to build. There are many new products and solutions becoming available to assist this form of construction.
This seminar will address, existing and new products, methods and solutions for this building system. It will also discuss the recently published 2019 National Construction Code; Deemed-to-Satisfy changes to fire protected timber, where the range of buildings up to 25 m in height, are now not limited.
Products and solutions to be discussed include the range of acoustic floor screeds available, lateral and overturning resistant systems and new textile based fire-rated wall systems applicable to difficult to install zero lot exterior walls.
Also to be discussed will be a new methods to build timber buildings, called post and plate, the moisture and movement performance in a recently built timber-framed buildings, as well as a case study of an extension to an existing building using a timber based building system.
Furthermore, on hand will be providers of products and services to this market segment, discuss your current or next project.
