Engineered timber structural elements are starting to gain traction in multi-storey buildings as designers become more familiar with their structural performance, their contribution to reduced preliminaries and onsite costs as well as delivery of increased speed of build.
Recently the Australian Building Codes Board adopted a new voluntary deemed-to-satisfy (DTS) solution in the BCA for timber building systems for apartment, hotel and office buildings up to an effective height of 25m.
Experienced design professionals will speak on recent examples of multi-storey timber apartment and office building projects in Australia and Sydney to illustrate the design, structural performance and cost savings of timber buildings.
This seminar is a must for all building and design professionals including architects, engineers, building designers, certifiers, developers, builders, regulators and educators.
