WoodSolutions Tutorials are now also available at the offices of the Timber Development Association in St. Leonards. These monthly Tuesday Tutorials will suit staff of small and large engineering, building designers and architectural firms on the north side of Sydney who want to increase their timber knowledge but who might not have enough staff to justify a visit by our experts to their offices.

Sessions begin at 12.30 the second Tuesday of every month. A light lunch is offered so please RSVP the day before.

Meet the Tuesday Tutorials Presenters
Andrew Dunn is the Chief Executive for the Timber Development Association NSW and has 28 years experience in the building industry, the last 22 years within the timber sector. Andrew has a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a Masters of Timber Engineering and represents the industry on a numerous Australian Standards being Timber Framing, Bushfire, Termites control, Design Loads, Fire testing, Plasterboard installation, and Earth Retaining Structures. He has extensive knowledge in all aspects of timber's structural application including fire and sound timber framed technology related to Multi-Residential Timber Frame Construction.
Stephen Mitchell joined the TDA in 2006 and has managed and delivered a variety of projects including Life Cycle Assessment and technical education for building and design professionals, TAFE teachers, University lecturers and timber merchants. Before this Stephen worked for the NSW Government on waste reduction and recycling projects in the construction sector. Stephen is a qualified trainer, experienced presenter and a Sustainability Professional with a Masters in Environmental Management from the University of New South Wales.
About the Timber Development Association
The Timber Development Association (TDA) is non-profit industry association established in 1938 to promote the use and sale of Australian and imported timber. The TDA now concentrates on the technical advancement of timber within the building and construction sector by R&D and education projects. The TDA also initiated and runs the annual Australian Timber Design Awards.
