Description

With its aesthetic appeal, thermal insulation, acoustic properties and resistance to the chemicals used in swimming pools, timber represents an up-front candidate for swimming pool construction. Despite its suitability for swimming pool construction, there are still several considerations to be made when specifying timber for the job.

This webinar is investigating the design decision around timber's suitability in swimming pool construction. The webinar will achieve this by showing casing the recently completed Stromlo Leisure & Aquatic Centre, where the architect and engineer responsible for the project will present.

Presenters are: the lead architect on the project, Belinda Barnes from Cox Architecture, and the structural engineers Darren Sault from Sellick Consultants. Supporting Belinda and Darren in the panel session will be the project supplier Adam Shears from Rubner/Theca Australia and Robert Mansell from XLAM Solutions.
